I Might Be a Cunt, but I'm Not a Fucking Cunt : ウィキペディア英語版 | I Might Be a Cunt, but I'm Not a Fucking Cunt
"I Might Be A Cunt, But I'm Not A Fucking Cunt" is a song by TISM, released as the second single from their album ''www.tism.wanker.com'' in 1998. Due to lyrical content, the song was almost universally banned, as was the video for both the lyrical nature of the song and the sexual nature of the video. The title of the song references the 1996 film ''From Dusk Till Dawn'' when George Clooney's character says the line "I may be a bastard, but I'm not a fucking bastard." ==Song== On the literal level, the song focuses on a man who admits that he has faults, but when viewed in perspective, those faults are not entirely bad. For example having sex with "your sister" makes him bad, but he's not entirely bad because he refuses to have sex with "your mum". Eventually the man concedes that he might not be able to control all of his urges and makes the leap from ''cunt'' to ''fucking cunt'' by asking for "your mum's number." On a figurative level the song operates on numerous levels, carrying on the themes of the album. On one level, it is a paean to those in the lower class who are proud of who and what they are, as noted in the line "I might have gone to uni, but at least I know I'm dumb." On another level, it is a criticism of those same people, those who revel in their mediocrity. The song's chord progression is C-A#-C, which it shares with "Science Fiction" by Divinyls. The two songs have a near identical strumming pattern.
